NanoWisdoms Archive Status


Due to various technical issues and risks, I have had to temporarily take the NanoWisdoms Archive off-line to ensure it is not compromised. In particular, the technology, on which the website was built in 2010, is no longer compatible with modern web-hosting services and so the website needs a major overhaul.

Unfortunately, since 2022, unexpected and unavoidable personal circumstances have severly limited the amount of free time I have to get the necessary work done with the technical people. However, I hope to be able to get the site back up and running, with much needed improvements, by Fall 2025.

In the mean time, while NanoWisdoms is off-line, you can still access and/or search NanoWisdoms, via The Internet Archive and Ismaili Digest, using the methods explained below.

Note too that, due to technical reasons, I have also temporarily suspended Ismaili Digest's aggregation bot so, at this time, the website is not being updated with new content aggregated from the Ismaili websites and YouTube channels it monitors. I hope to restart the aggregation bot by the end of the year.

Accessing NanoWisdoms

LIMITATIONS: While browsing NanoWisdoms at the Internet Archive, searching, audio/video recordings, contact and subscription forms, comments, translation and any other interactive features will not work.

Searching NanoWisdoms


NanoWisdoms content can be searched via Ismaili Digest using the following procedure:
  • Click on one of search results returned that you would like to read, and it will take you to the speech's or interview's page on NanoWisdoms which, of course, won't be found.
  • Select and copy the NanoWisdoms link from your browser address bar and go to the Internet Archive, here, and paste the link in the web page search to retrieve it.
  • The Internet Archive will then display a list of copies of that page it has available.
  • In the time-line click on the last year which displays a black bar. Within the year selected, click on one of the highlighted dates to display the NanoWisdoms' page.
  • If the page is blank or doesn't display, try an earlier date.

Please note the limitations listed above while browsing NanoWisdoms on the Internet Archive.

Searching NanoWisdoms Extended Quotes


NanoWisdoms' Extended Quotes can also be searched via Ismaili Digest (something that was not possible on NanoWisdoms itself) by searching with "[nano eq]" modifier with your search terms. For example, to search for all Extended Quotes that mention "left-wing" enter the following:
When you click on a link to a hit returned, the Extended Quote's PDF will be pulled up directly without having to go to the Internet Archive.

If you are looking at the NanoWisdoms or NanoWisdoms Extended Quote sections on Ismaili Digest, or the results of a search, you can search for a particular title on the page in your browser window using <Ctrl-f> browser command. However, you should first keep scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking the "Load More" button load all the items before you try <Ctrl-f> to search for a title.
